Haha that probably would be what I would do Mousy if I were a teacher. Actually I'm a certified Teacher's Aide but never put it to use. XD

Hey Lemon! *waves*

If you have the certification you should definitely put it to use Blue Jay!

Teacher's need help so they can focus on teaching and not just dealing with administration. That way they also offer simulation activities, like pioneer days and everyone can dress up and re-enact what it was like to live at that time period... I guess that is sort of like cosplay isn't it!

I have a sore throat today so am probably going to bed soon, too many late nights doesn't help.

I would LOOOOOVE an extra set of hands in my room while I'm there.
/sits imagining all of the super fun things we could learn if it wasn't just me dealing with behavior.......
ahhh....

I'm sorry your throat hurts. T_T
I'm probably going to bed soon too.

If you are talking to me, please ping or quote me. I get distracted and lose track of what I'm doing easily.

I would Lemon but all the schools around me actually did cuts on the teachers in the classes and stuff so it's not easy to use it.

That is just so not right Blue Jay! More focus needs to be on funding education. Teachers mold the children and have such an impact, so we should make sure that they have the environment that they can teach in!

Mousy, can you get parent volunteers in to help?

Yeah it's sad Lemon but nothing that I can do about it. Plus I don't think I really would make the best aide for anything over the age of 2-5 years of age. I would be mistaken as student myself instead of a faculty member alot.

I haven't asked for parent volunteers, but many of my parents work. I'm in a low income school with a good chunk of the kids on free lunch. So the parents are doing their best to provide for their babies, but I'm not sure if they could afford volunteering with us bc that might mean hours off of work. Many of our families are single parents too. :/
We had a Christmas party and only had 1 mom show up and a kids dad's gf.

but blue jay that's what made having a teachers aide in the class so fun!

Mousy, that makes me want to cry, over our way the parents are so involved. Our local elementary schools get some of the retired Teachers and seniors in the area to come and read, or do activities, or go over the homework with the kids. But I imagine that may not be possible in a low income area? No wonder you can't get time off!

Hopefully they let you pay a minimum on your loan and more when you can. Good to get that paid off so it won't be hanging over you.

Well because my loan is in NZ, the company won't be paying anything into it, I'll have to do it myself. And I won't be earning enough for that anyway x3
So I'll have to just save up

Sometimes they let you pay a low amount each month so long as you are working toward it - $25, something manageable. If there is no interest if you delay find out how long you can delay so it does not affect your credit rating negatively.
