It's not as hard as you think.
To me, I think making bases is a lot easier than shading.
But i know more about pixel art then i did 5 years ago.

So maybe i will try to make my own base soon and i'll show you the progress. :3

I can show some of my art I did in pixel art.
But a lot of them is old.

This
I did when i was trying out something new for the hair.
I really liked how it turned out however.
Never knew it turned out as good as it did till i found it in my old art album on photobucket. XD

And this
I did when i had a really bad case of food poisoning 3-4 years back. Maybe 5.
And it was around my birthday.

This Was one of my newest projects. Maybe from
half a year ago. I just couldn't decide on colors. XD

and lastly This
is my WIP item creation I am making for sapherna.

It is an automail arm.
And of course this is my newest art pieces I am working on.
Been working on it for maybe a few weeks now?

So to start, you generally have to do a rough sketch outline for the pixeling?
But I like the one where you did the eyes and the shoes and the undecided color for the skirt lol.

Basically yes. So in a way it is still like regular CG/ digital art.
You can actually sketch using digital tools like the regular pen tool.
Some other pixel artists do that.

If you go on DA some people post their WIP's actually.
I am working to do more detailed things.

A lot of artists pixel their own props.
I am so lazy and a mere beginner. I can't decide what to do with her.
But it for sure is gonna be windy. XD

Turtle also told me about a pixeling website called pixel glams or something like that. Have you ever heard of it?

yes, I've been on there for a couple years now but i need to change my name again.
it is mirella on there but i need to change it to fuu-chan.

There is also two more pixel communities.
One is pixel-empire which is very quiet and the other is pixel princess.
I prefer pixel princess because you can use their dollmaker to make yourself an avatar.
And it is just fun to do.

And sometimes on pixel glam, people come off as rude, snobby etc.
