Yeah, I haven't seen many around these days. The one I used to go to changed their rules. I guess they lost a lot of money from it. Yes, you can still do trade-ins for credit, but when you use the credit, you still have to pay $1 per book. Before, I could go in, trade in so many books, and take so many books back home. Give it a few weeks to read all of my new books and then I'd repeat the cycle.

If you are talking to me, please ping or quote me. I get distracted and lose track of what I'm doing easily.

even the libraries are picky what books they take but you can donate them and they sell them at a used book sale

too bad your families don't have more money. our local school has scholastic book sales and each teacher puts titles of books they want in a basket and you can go and pick a title out and by it for that class.

We had a wishlist at the beginning of the year. I got a few things from it. I really want to ask for glue though. those kids go through glue sticks faster than I ever thought possible!

staples and office max have great sales here for back to school - glue is usually 25 cents i wonder if they have any donation programs for schools...i know if you brought your toner to staples they gave you store credit.not sure if they still do.

i need to spend my summer looking up different things like that!
There is a website where you can post your classroom needs and people all over will donate. I need to see if any of my coworkers have used it and how it works...

There is one thing somewhere where they give you a "coupon" for a class pet from petsmart! the coupon pays for the pet and you pay for the supplies for it!
I need to start writing these websites down. I forget what they are. XD
