oh! I think I missed that pairing special! I have been hibernating the last couple days cause I wasn't feeling well but now that you mention it ...I think it was one of the pairs you could get extra bonus points for!

Are you a starbucks reward member?

....what? No actually, I work at Starbucks. I don't know what it's like to actually buy their food. We were uh...sampling the new coffee with muffins today. And the new flan latte.

can you still be a reward member? Cause that is such a great deal... just get your first 30 points and it becomes so easy to keep getting free drinks at 12 points. They send so many bonus opportunities in the emails. Although you probably get free drinks all the time though!

I think the bartistas should know what is being offered and promote those purchases but most of them stare at me blankly when I ask them what it was again...

check out My Starbucks rewards.

I've only been working two weeks and I know about the cards and registering them and getting the free drinks and stuff because there's a button the register. But um yeah...I can get a free drink every day. There are a lot of perks as an employee actually. Probably some of it is we end up eating lunch out of the store.

I understand starbucks has - or had- a good benefits package for employees.

Does your store do community participation?

Yes. With the amount of hours I work, I will be able to qualify for benefits hopefully.

As far as I know, it does. That should be a Starbucks thing no matter what store you're at.

It's a good job, but it's not my ideal or anything.

no, but right no it helps pay the bills and benefits are like getting paid a part time job. You can work your way up in management or meet people that work in a field you may like ... which really helps later on.

I would never want to go into management. Sure my ideal would be to move across the street and work at the bookstore, but I can see my future ending up like some of my coworkers that have been at Starbucks for 14 years.

let him do the accounting, you can be the heart of the store....

you never know what the future holds, just know that it can hold much if you are open to what it holds
