Yeah but today for some reason Riot decided to group me with terrible teams. I haven't won a game all day.

You can make a team with friends but I just played by myself and you get randomly pared with 4 other people that are usually around your level. You have to work together throughout the game and I happened to be matches with people who would help each other out.
