I just got woken out of my sleep from a tornado watch alert on my phone and a loud siren outside. There’s a thunderstorm going on and strong enough wind somewhere capable of producing a tornado. @-@

What did they say, hide in your bath tub? Get some blankets & pillows, snack & camp out in the bathroom.

Hopefully your power stays on & it just goes by without damage.

The alert just said to take shelter in a basement or in the lowest level of a sturdy building, but the sirens finally went off sometime before I started getting ready for work, so I still had to go. x-x

Now it’s just freezing cold. The temperature dropped about 30 degrees since this morning.

What a way to wake up!

Better a false alarm than to not be notified of a dangerous situation. We had two 'nados touch down here in CA, but the warnings went out to an area where it didn't touch down and no warning where it did... well, at least they tried...

I read that three tornadoes touched down; one about 25 minutes away from where I live and the others further away in the opposite direction. I don't think I read about any casualties, but I feel bad for the people whose houses were damaged. :'/

Oh man, so since no warning was sent out that means the people were basically sitting ducks? Was there a lot of damage and casualties? :c

Basically. No warning for that area (where Diana is), but not a lot of damage (compared to twisters we see in the mid-west etc.) and no casualties thank goodness. Just a few trees (cars damaged from them) and a couple of roofs.

It might, but I'm too lazy to figure out another combination. x-x I think the combination I have now gives me the max (if 15 is the max).

Honestly, I'm kind of burning out from the event. It was fun at first, but now it's starting to feel like a task. Not that I have to participate (I want to), but keeping up the score takes a lot when our team is so small. I'm kind of over it.
