wrote a new story after a 2 year hiatus.
So now I am excited to work on chapter 2. Though chapter 2 definitely needs to be longer than chapter 1.

Eh. Writing is different than drawing.

Like I have ideas for drawings.
But my motivation is just...blah.

not so much different - one is telling a story with pictures and the other is telling the same story by describing the picture. For me who I picture the story but my drawing is not that good...you can tell what I am drawing I am just not refined at it.

To me they are different. They may have similar things to explaining a story
or picture in your head. But Writing I can do much easier than drawing.

I wonder how people who make money from writing think out a story - do they picture the story in their mind as an idea, do they actually "see" the characters and environment like a movie and then write it down?
