When I was a kid that was all my Mom would let us get from DQ! At the time we thought it was because she was on a healthier food diet kick, but looking back, maybe it was because some of my siblings reacted negatively to dairy & it was the only fair way for them to not feel left out ... plus it was probably the cheapest thing to buy. So when I g0t older & could go on my own I'd buy the peanut buster parfait or a soft serve cone.

I used to only get peanut buster parfaits, but now my fave are blizzards, and my fave blizzards are Reese ones and cookie dough ones

You can get Blizzard's at many places now. But the hot fudge sauce is not available everywhere & that's the part I like with the soft serve ice cream.

In other other news I came home early because the renovations at work were so loud and clanging that I had a headache, which was made worse by the fact they moved so much stuff around in weird ways, and one area was full of dirt and dusty so that area was hard to breathe in

Problem is that's going to be the norm for awhile so I'll have to just deal with it. I made a deal with my mom that if I get through the rest of the week (tonight and tomorrow) and all next week, we'll order McDonald's AND get Dairy Queen

It's not too hazardous it's just headache inducing. Like the area where it's a little hard to breathe only affects me, my sister has said people with autism will often have breathing problems. But we have discussed strategies and my coworker told me Friday to Sunday each week they don't do renovations, so I texted my boss asking to only work Friday to Sunday and either Monday or Thursday each week, that way I'll be able to avoid the renovation days most of my work week.


I'll probably start wearing a mask, and we're issued hard hats, but safety glasses don't work because I wear regular glasses
Ikr, I actually had just suggested Dairy Queen, but my mom said if I can survive both this and next week I'd get DQ AND McDonald's dinner! I wasn't about to say no to that!


In other news my phone died on my before the end of the shift, even though it was fully charged before leaving. So either me raising the volume into the orange area the whole night drained it, OR it's finally dying, since I think I've had this phone since before Covid

Regular glasses will be of some help, but if you can get off those days, then all the better. A mask for dust seems like a no-brainer. Getting stuff in your lungs bad mojo.

Thanks! The idea for going on days without them was a collaborative idea between my coworker and I, but the idea to work away from dusty areas was all me! ^-^
