I think the top picture is the site that was used in INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE (where Christ's cup was being kept). If I'm not mistaken, it was either destroyed or heavily damaged by ISIS not too long ago (a year or two ago). So sad if I'm right...

the first is in the middle east actually and I'd guess that the style used in ancient Greece was kinda borrowed from there. In ancient times the middle east had some great nations with advanced culture and awesome buildings. But the point was... people live under rocks as well
