@Yuracye What are you wanting to teach? I didn't have to get my masters to teach, just bachelors.. but if I ever want to be in administration, I need to go for my masters. I seriously considered Library science as my masters route though. I would love to be a librarian! /begins daydreaming

Mousy: I get my certification for K-6, for both general and special education. I honestly prefer grades 1-3, but I've grown so close to some of my older students that I really wouldn't mind an older grade as well.

I need my masters to teach. That's NY for you. sobs.
I'm thinking about getting my masters in Art Education/Art history/Art Studio course. I'm not really sure if I can be an art teacher with any of these though. o uo;;

I teach in TX.
I did my student teaching in 5th and 2nd grades. I thought 2nd grade would drive me crazy, but I got really close to them too. I really don't think I can go below 2nd though. O_O
I did observations in 1st, internships in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and early childhood. I was really glad that I got put in such a wide range. I know that I definitely belong in upper elementary.

I just found out today and I need to pay an additional $200 for my certifications before I even take them?

Ahh, one of my friends teaches in Texas as well! He said if I can't find anything here, he'll help me get a job with him. xD
If I ever move, I'll let you know. Haha.
Oh gosh. The only placements I haven't student taught/observed in is 3rd and 6th! (Not 3rd grade is because people can't figure out if it's considered primary or secondary placement. /shakes head.)
At least you know where you want to be though, that's always good!
I know I need to be flexible with where I want to be placed, especially since there aren't many job opportunities up here. :/
