WHOO HOO!!

My neighbor had cancer and she once said that they never use the word "cured" with cancer. They use "cancer free" for X months and years (and I guess remission now or on the East Coast). I know every month is a milestone, but has anyone given you an idea of how many months or years you'll have to be in remission before you can pretty much say you beat it? From your earlier note, it it another year when you can stop the trips?

Remission is when you're most likely to relapse. Survivor means that type is unlikely to pop back up, you're more likely to get a different cancer
Though when I see cancer-free, the context is that it was removed surgically rather than via chemo and/or radiation

They said ten years for remission, with the first two to three years being the most likely time to relapse but dad figures that they'll tell me that I'm a survivor after five

from friends that have had breast cancer I have heard 5 years is the landmark but I think it depends on what type of cancer you have?

I am sorry you have had to battle cancer, I hope you have had a strong support group

Hodgkin's lymphoma
And they said ten because of where I went being dedicated to cancer treatment, so they play it safe

The main one who was there for me was dad. He had juuuuuuuust gotten his job, too, but he was given the green light to come in when he could cuz me and my treatments had priority
When they found the lump in my chest last checkup (it's a cyst, normal for someone my age to get), corporate gave the go-ahead for both of us to take off as much time as needed for it

Yeah. At least the chances for more storms are low right now. I'm just sick and tired of all this rain ;;

Yeah

I hate the hot and sticky weather most
Then again, if it's hot, I'm very easily overheated :|

:3

Oh I do too. My body doesn't know how to regulate its temp to well so hot just equals hotter ;; I overheat easily too. And really humid air makes it hard for me to breathe.

The reverse is also true. I hate the extremes since I can't regulate my temp too well. Although any dry air is a godsend since I can breathe.

Unless you are a plant (or perhaps a fish!) I don't think anyone likes high humidity. Getting overheated is very dangerous. Stay hydrated! Kind of funny we hate water in the air (humidity) but need a lot on the inside.

Kit, please think of us as an extension of your support group.

Some process it better than others
Way better

I don't mind cold so much, but then again I live less than an hour east of two great lakes

For my webcomic?
