oh my gosh I finally got the star diver's blue helmet from fishing just now!

I use drops for my eyes - especially during allergy season - and it helps. Have you tried drops? Even just the artificial tears drops?

Sending you good thoughts Monkeygirl, hope tomorrow will be a better day for you

It's more from a popped blood vessel. It's benign and all, but it's just annoying because I'm trying not to rub my eyes.

<squeals!> does it hurt!!!??!

You poor thing! Do you have a eye patch for real that you can use? I know the drug store sells them ( I cut my eye on paper once and had to wear one).

no, it's not something that is known to hurt.

Eyepatch is useless when both eyes are bloodshot (which is for me)

It should go away in at least a week.

If I start getting vision problems and it starts to hurt, yeah, I'd have to go see a doctor about it......

I didn't know my eyes were bloodshot until I went into work and a coworker pointed it out. I was confused because how are my eyes bloodshot and not hurt?

generally if they are bloodshot they may be itchy but sometimes not...can sometimes be an allergic reaction to something so antihistamines can help

Can I ask how work is?

It's fine.

I just hate drive through customers............. But I'm pretty good at drive through despite my bad speech skills that elementary school failed to fix, which that is a whole can of worms in and of itself....

-gets put into speech class due to speech problems-
-teacher says it's because of my braces-
-takes me out of speech-

I needed that class. It wasn't the braces that caused that. I was speaking just as bad before I had gotten braces and after I got them taken off in the 8th grade. I had braces from 3rd - 8th grade.... 5 years.

I'm sorry the education system failed you! Speech therapy isn't covered in many schools or by some insurances in our area. The girl I work with had to take her son to another city to get help with his speech - can't remember if it was because his arch was so high in his mouth? Something about the way the tongue moved. There are exercises you can do to train the tongue - maybe those would still help you if you are uncomfortable with it?

Idk, I stutter and don't speak very clearly. I sometimes talk too fast...

You know it's bad when you stutter over your own name. >->

You are in the realm of royalty - Queen Elizabeths Father stuttered ... did you see that movie? I heard singing helps. I trip over my words rather then stutter and I obviously can't pronounce my name right because people have to ask me again what it is...

Well, I do also trip over my words......

Some days I can't speak at all. Like I'd be trying to say a word, have a hard time trying to say it, can't say it, give up.

If I'm struggling then I try to picture what I am trying to say or grasp for another similar word..some of it is just that the English language doesn't flow.

can you give yourself a nickname you have more ease at saying? (or change your name altogether to something else - go by your middle name? It's not uncommon)

Too lazy to bother with it. I'd still stutter over it. It's not that it's hard to say, I just stutter all the time...

.......

I have the money to buy two things on Amazon....

Scared to actually order them because I'm scared my dad will get mad at me for buying them.

$100 order, 3/4 is with my b-day money and the last 1/4 of the cost is out of pocket......

I think if it's your B-day money, you should be allowed to spend it as you'd like even for trivial things. However, waste is waste, but you think you'll obtain value from it, then it isn't waste. You do make your own money and unless it's your last $25 or close to it, it won't hurt too bad. Well, I guess it depends on how you are with your money--if you spend too freely and save very little to nothing, that's probably what your dad understandably might not like.

Is what you're buying going off sale or only available for a limited time? You could always wait if money is very tight. Unless you're financially independent (like Bill Gates, etc.) we all have to make these choices.
