The $25 out of pocket won't hurt my wallet. I want them, I'd use them, but I'm afraid that after a while they just sit there to start to collect dust or something else. Heck, my payday is this upcoming Friday.

stuff that collects dust ends up being not a good investment - unless you can resale.

I like this thread better, it gives me more feathers

Just the hardest thing is...... I've been wanting these for so long and now that I can get it, I'm hesitating and wondering if I should get it but I still want them very badly.

Like Galled mentioned, it is birthday money... you've wanted it for awhile so it means they've been around. Are they on sale or clearance? Can you buy them anywhere else and use a coupon or discount? Do you need the money for anything like car insurance or food or something that means your survival? Can they be returned if you change your mind? Will it benefit you in some way (I'm throwing stuff out because I have no idea what you are getting - it could be ornaments or something useful like headphones)

All I know is that they get free shipping and handling. Both brands I trust because one I've actually used in school before and the other I've researched well enough that I know it's trust-worthy.

It's a drawing tablet and an ocarina.

I like drawing digitally way better than on paper and I've been drawing a whole lot recently. I've actually filled a drawing book once and I'm like 1/3 done with a current one I've been drawing in for the last couple of months. I've been wanting to draw on my computer but I can't really do so using my mouse..... But my skills have really improved as well.

As for the ocarina, it's something I've been wanting to learn........ I don't know. I could either actually use it or get too scared to break it that I don't use it or something.....

my input on drawing tablets:
er.. i doubt you can get a good one for $25, or any tablet at all? XD you don't necessarily have to get an expensive one right off the bat ie) wacom or a tablet with a screen.
my first tablet was around $30 (doubt u can get that price though) and it still works today ^^

i dunno, i lean more towards the drawing tablet because its pretty useful, you can always resell it, but its more expensive. also i don't care for musical instruments ^^;

I'd say either is good because they are designed to create things and creating things is productive, and being productive is a heck of a lot better than not being productive or way better than destructive! If you've used a tablet before, then you're good. I've known people who love to draw simply back it in when they get a tablet when they hit the big learning curve.

I had to look up ocarina. Music is great for the soul, but I'd say unless you commit to learning to play it (like say you won't give it up until you learn X songs), you have that learning curve thing. But like most things, the things that are hard to do are the most rewarding!

The tablet isn't $25. The ocarina is.

The tablet I'm looking at is $75.

I really want to play zelda songs on an ocarina (so fitting too) but I've always wanted to learn an instrument and an ocarina is portable, unliked a keyboard piano, which I cannot learn no matter how hard I try.

ohhhh, $75. makes much more sense.
ocarina of time /wiggles eyebrows

no matter your decision, you really have to love what you're going to do and you can't give up half way ^^
in the end, you know yourself best!

.....I told my dad what I wanted off of amazon

He's letting me get them, but he's ordering and I have to pay him back.....

I had the money already on my Amazon account through a gift card and can't get it refunded.

I told him that I had the money, but I guess we weren't on the same page.

I should've waited. I was about to order it without talking to him first as why I got it on a gift card and redeemed it, but hesitated and thought it was best to tell him.....

Oh well. I can use it for some other time, I guess.

I could probably just buy movies (like, on amazon video or something) and ebooks without having to worry about shipping. (Music if Amazon does that kinda thing)

But I will.

I'm just going to write him a check.

He'll get mad if I told him why I had $100 on Amazon..... Probably.

I can buy mp3s on Amazon.

I have blank cds.

If I buy the mp3s, I can put them on blank cds that I bought....

And I can play them in my van without the need to order and have a cd shipped to me.

That way, I can get cds I can't find at Walmart and get anime soundtracks.
