fireworks are a super novelty here, its illegal for us to buy them, so we only get to see them when its like new years and stuff T_T

i believe fireworks are currently illegal where i'm at due to the drought, but that doesn't really stop people.
they're also not supposed to go higher than 6 feet(1.8 meters), but our neighbors set off bottle rockets all the time (randomly, between midnight and 2am... i have no idea why. they only set off one, every month or so. it's kind of weird actually)

Fireworks! Yussssss!
They only enforce the rules in the city.
Butttt I guess the rules are there for a good reason because I set fire to an acre of land about 10 years ago playing with fireworks in March. They were in the laundry room and had been taunting me all winter. Luckily it was all land we owned, but the fire department did have to come put it out and mocked my 13yr old self. XD

Around here the drought is so bad they limit where you can do fireworks. When I was very little I remember my Grandfather lit fireworks at Halloween (the kind that spiral around on the ground). Scared me because they went flying around and I thought they were going to hit us. I had forgotten all about that memory, maybe that should have gone under the childhood fears thread!?

Oh my goodness Q_Q I would of been freaking out! That reminds me of a time when two squirels were fighting and they decided to run around my feet very close to me. ( I know it isn't related to fireworks but I thought the squirels were gonna bump into me! )
