I never got straight A's...I'm just an average person doing an exceptionally average job. (that's not to say I didn't get some A's ) what matters is we do our best with what we have.

but just because you don't get straight A's in school doesn't mean you aren't going to be a good worker when you get a job.

Ahahaha, you may say that, but back then, I had no clue. All I knew was that I'd been told since I was six that grades determined your future. You needed an A so you could get a job and not starve to death or hate your life. You need an A if you want to make it in the future. You need an A if you want a good job. You need an A if you don't want to work drive thrus the rest of your life.

Grades and futures, forever intertwined.

And I was someone who couldn't get straight A's after third grade. And that wrecked me for a while.

Then I got super depressed and uprooted from the school I'd be in since forever, and stopped caring about grades once the pressure was off me. Now I'm a senior and a C student. Whee.

ugh, same.
once i got 7A* and a C--- and pretty much tried to hang myself from the crushing disappointment.
parents eased up a bit after that, but the pressure is still on ^^;

Yeaaah, parents discovered I was pretty depressed when I made the mistake of telling a friend I was glad we'd talked that day, because if we hadn't I wouldn't have been there to see her the next day.

The biggest regret was in admitting it. And once I admitted it, I started falling apart in a different way. Soooo...
