The potato is still alive. If we put it in some soil it will grow roots and multiply.

If you have any sad looking potatoes (where they're a bit wrinkly and have eyes) you can plant them. You can grow them in garbage bags filled with soil.

I have been growing potato's in a planter. You wait until they flower & then the plant wilts.
I get a variety of sizes. I've been growing the Yukon or white potato's but am going to try the red ones.
