A few years ago, I shadowed a dentist who did fillings on a patient, and she didn't want to be numbed. She got 3 or 4 fillings done and didn't flinch.

Yeah, it was impressive.

On the topic of dentistry, I did a lot of shadowing for dental assisting school and from when I tried getting into dental hygiene school I got rejected 3 times lol, and I've seen surgeries, hella cleanings, and some root canal procedures, to name a few. It was all pretty cool.

I imagine it would be pretty neat although I personally can't look at that kind of thing. ^^;

Yep, the needle is the worst of it and they aren't that bad since it's over pretty quick. Going without? I guess it would depend on how deep the cavity was. Still, brave!

I got lightheaded a few times watching the surgeries. I shadowed a periodontist once and didn't know what to expect. I nearly passed out watching him do gum grafting surgery. @-@

What's the next part of your story?

The homeroom teacher is an intimidating gargoyle-like guy! He may be intimidating, but he's got a soft and patient side to him! His magic revolves around summoning things, altering reality around him, and dealing with both curses and counter curses!

Npix, an electric toothbrush is very helpful.

I know someone who prefers not to get numbed either!!

But any cutting of gum needs something !!

My dentist said so as well

I've become so numb, I can't feel you there

Agreed

Nice! Does the gargoyle act as a mentor for the main characters, as well?

I'd say so

I was thinking that at first they'd be afraid of him, but they'd get to know his soft side and then he'd become a mentor character
