All that matters is that you're interested in it. If you are, then you'll want to learn more. Eventually, you know a lot! Then maybe you'll know more than other things you already know and before you know it, it will be one of your strong suits! :)

We are all made from star-stuff!

Strong suits... I guess I have one or two. Singing.... and.... reading stories?

I'm not that good at science or history as well. I'm just curious and I look at some theories... I read and look at some presentations about interesting stuff like that and that's all really. Like I said someplace I dropped out of university so I'm just uneducated fool (or thats what my parents believe...)

I guess it depends on what measurement (if you use one at all) one uses to determine what "good" is. For example in most of our education, it's memory (rote recall mostly). It's not until you get to the higher levels that correlation (the highest form of demonstrated learning--if you have a good teacher and program). I'm much better at the latter than the former (although I can remember a lot of facts for some reason--perhaps it's a building block thing--I remember some facts and the new facts relate to the old ones).

Anyway, it used to be called being a "well-rounded" person when someone knew stuff from a lot of disciplines. People who narrowly specialize in fewer things actually come across as naive in many ways when you talk to them. Well-rounded people are much more interesting and are the types that are more likely to come up with new answers to problems (thinking out of the box), so I wouldn't look at that as being a weakness! :)

I carry conversations through the power of airheadedness, random ebullience, occasional/not-so-occasional silliness, and cutesy-ness.

*Takes an anime pose with a V for victory!*

Well, it's true sometimes chobi talks about stuff that's waay over my head and I don't know how to react, but it's definitely interesting.

Ara...? Wait, that naivety might be what I'm calling air-headedness. Oooh... teehee~

I'm certainly not an out of the box thinker...

orz.

The only knowledge that I keep in my head is that there's that kinda thing somewhere out there. I don't remember a lot of the facts I just go back to the sources get the details and give it to you guys because I like to give you information that's correct. I can't remember all that stuff or at least not without seriously trying to learn it. That's just some thing I look into from time to time when I don't sleep :?

I'm like that too. When I find stuff interesting, I usually just remember the main details/gist of it. While I will tend to remember facts about it if it's wild/unusual/main part of the story, I don't remember many of them as I tend to skim through the boring stuff. :)

I appreciate when people take the time to only pass along the important stuff. I really hate it when my mom or aunts will forward me any crap that crosses their inbox that some other idiot didn't check to see if it's even true! It got so bad that I told them to stop forwarding me anything... No, Microsoft is not having a lottery and chain emails are not real!

Pet peeve: Massive email forwarder (usually person who newly discovered the email forward button... there should be a test you have to pass before you're able to unlock that feature!) :)

My problem is that I'll hear something and realize I've heard it before...somewhere...but don't remember much of the actual details - like the people who can blurt out the mathematical distances or details, amounts, angles whatever. Blows me away. I like hearing details, just not great at retaining them.
