Tragic T_T I've had a few favourite sites disappear as well, it's sad when you want to revisit them for nostalgia. Some of my favourites were i-dressup and pet society (which was a facebook game, but I was obsessed )

We hear things on the news & it is is difficult to know how much to trust.
There was a big scare on the news about hurricanes for here & that was a dud. However, other areas did have issues with flooding from hurricanes.
