Idk but there's barely any taste
The texture is amazing though
There are two types available here, the Malaysian breed (white-beige) and the China breed (reddish-pink)

The Malaysian one gives a nice cronch and soup is more pleasant, China one is kinda mushy, but it turns the soup reddish in color

The white one sounds like it'd be a great addition to salads too

Yes! It pairs well with salad or stir fry too

Never eaten it raw before, it just taste so good when cooked

Actually I think the international market had canned lotus root.

I'm having trouble finding one that comes in packages smaller than 1kg
The ones that are in 200g-packages are almost 4x more expensive per weight compared to the 1kg ones @_@
