real christmas trees only catch fire easily if you let them dry out and keep them in the warmth of the house too long. You can tell because they start dropping a lot of pine needles quickly.

I had a live tree one time, it was a small potted pine tree that I transplanted outside after. It really took off growing when it was in my house.

Reusing a tree definitely seems to save more money than buying a fresh one every year! If I could I'd pair it with a pine scent candle/diffuser haha, full on experience without the hassle.

Oh so it's like maintaining a vase of flowers! I always wondered how they survived so long without roots. It does make me sad that there's no way in keeping them alive past that point though.

That's what I'd end up doing if I could have live trees and a space to garden in Catch me and my pine forest in my backyard when I'm old and retired! (just kidding)

There are so many balsam or pine scented candles now you can get the same affect without the allergies from a live tree & some Fake trees look quite real and the cost of live trees now are insane. I think we bought one after Christmas sale on year & used that for years. Of course you have to find a place to store them...but they have plastic containers on wheels now for that too!

Yep! Reusing is great! Our tree has built in lights so that's not a hassle either!

I love those scented candles and same goes for the real pine tree with strong fragrance. Last year, we have fake tree and no time to maintain the live tree.
