You can't... feel them without light.

Hope your dad gets better soon-- and you can draw!

It's kind of weird to think that she'd draw in a hospital though..

There is usually a lot of waiting in a hospital. If you can spend some of that time being productive that makes it less wasted time.

Hope your dad gets better soon!

Thank you for the well wishes guys. My dad is okay now. We didn't go to the hospital cause my dad is pretty stubborn about that.

I got nervous though since he said that his chest felt tight on top of feeling body aches.

But he says he's alright now

That's good, but also a bit alarming? Make sure he's alright!

Yeah he's stubborn when it comes to his health - always refusing to go to the hospital even if he berates us when we don't get checkups fast enough.

I'm just checking on his condition every now and then today

I suppose you can draw on a tablet if you were in a hospital room just waiting around while the patient slept? (Or play on Windlyn  )

I hope your Dad will still get checked out. I think they can do heart monitoring stuff at home?

He's really stubborn. My mom says he's most likely afraid to find out that he has a terminal illness. He's been smoking for as long as I remember. Never stopped.

Then again one of my previous bosses is older than him and smokes even more and he's still in good shape

sometimes they can give medication that should help him avoid heart problems down the road. Someone I knows Dad had major bypass surgery and came out of it so if you catch things in time it can work out, might take awhile to heal up... kind of a wake up call to take care of our bodies though isn't it?

That's true. Unfortunately my dad isn't really the type to listen to suggestions like that and follow through with them. He's difficult like that and I think I sorta get that from him when it comes to my own health.

If I get sick, I also don't like being hospitalized unless it's already serious. I reckon he might be the same.

I don't like going to the Drs either OR the hospital... but I do encourage others to get checked out! :cheeky:

However, as I listen to others and see what works for them I am a believer in proactive self treatment such as a healthy diet and stretching and low impact exercise. I try physical therapy before surgery and try and find if there are non surgical options.

I actually hate exercise. I think it stems from me hating PE classes as a kid (PE is the only class I was awful at) so I can't say I'm being proactive about my health per se.

I guess I'm the type of person who understands that certain things will do me good but in the end, I still don't do them simply out of preference. I do understand that there's a price to pay for being like this though.

And my dad also probably doesn't want to go to checkups cause they cost money. Haha. He's the type who wouldn't spend on something if he can opt not to. I also got that from him.

I am not into exercise ( weight training , yoga, sports) that's why I like the stretching physical therapy type exercise... I wish I could be more active and I probably should be. I have a friend who hikes for miles every single day. I know others who go to the gym everyday. But I am trying to do more and I am trying to reduce the carbohydrates and sweet foods that I like. small steps...
