Gin is/was a samurai ,with natural wavy hair, who fought in the war against aliens. the Japanese lost the war and now live in a world mainly controlled by the aliens. Gin works with an alien named Kagura and a person named Shinpachi. Their work is to do whatever they get paid to do. Gin, Kagura, and Sadaharu live above a snack shop. Gin uses a wooden sword and fights to protect stuff... (so descriptive) They mention a lot of other animes. Gin lazy-s around and reads jump and he likes sweets. He drinks strawberry milk everyday. Kagura eats a lot and her race is really strong. She has a brother who shows up sometimes. He's like a villain. She also like to eat pickled seaweed. she is owner of Sadaharu. Shinpachi lives with his sister at their fathers dojo in hopes to bring it back. He wears glasses which are (I don't remember the exact percentages) 95% of Shinpachi. the rest is 3% water 2% trash. His sister only knows how to make burnt omelets. The chief of the Shinsengumi likes Shin's sister. The chief of the Shinsengumi is Kondou (they call him gorilla) and he is an idiot, well almost everyone is... The Shinsengumi have two vice-captains, Hijikata and Sogo. (It's supposed ti be about Hijikata, but Gin replaced him.)
