I put it in quotes because I never made it past the cat room... nor did I do anything terribly productive. I just played with the kitties.. xD

@Lemon - Yeaa I always felt bad for shelter animals...all the pets we've ever had are shelter pets

@mousy - you'd be surprised at how much that's needed actually. Considering most shelter animals stay in a cage almost 24/7, being allowed out to play is very beneficial for them. so you actually did good with playing with them xD

We weren't allowed to have pets in our dorms, but that didn't stop most of us....

lol yes you can volunteer to play with animals at shelters xD most of the time they're not gonna protest...our shelter has a play room specifically for playing with cats and puppies

animal shelters here only survive based on volunteers and donations. Our high schools require some community service so that helps get some volunteers out. Besides, what a wonderful opportunity to give some love and get some love..,.

yea...donations are a must though right now we have a fair amount of staff members to not need many volunteers
