I'm totally with you. I can't relate to them.

Are there any animals that you do like?

I really, really like cats. I also like hedgehogs, foxes, and capybaras but all of those are illegal in my state.

I have a problem with most dogs. One of my good friends has this large dog and he's always baby-talking to it like "look at the puppy! Pet the puppy! Play with the puppy!". This thing is a massive, smelly slobbering beast. I really want no part in any of those activities.

I had to look up capybaras. Oh, so cute! They look like a mini hippo!

I like dogs, but I don't like massive, smelly or slobbering--well of any animal really (humans included!). :)

I like some cats. I say "some" because percentage wise, I probably like more dogs as a whole than cats I've encountered thus far. Who knows? Maybe I travel in the wrong cat circles! ;)

I knew an insect collector with roaches, spiders, centipedes, all of those bugs that haunt your nightmares. I think Id rather opt for the fish.

Have you ever seen a savannah cat? They're beautiful - a mix between a wild african cat and a domestic cat. They're expensive and (once again) illegal in my state.

I'm not an insect person either, however, I once found a small (perhaps 1/8") hairy spider on the hood of our car and about to squish it when I noticed it could see me as it would react as I got closer to it. It moved very quickly and was shaped more like a crab than the typical long legged spider. It wasn't afraid and I could swear it was curious. Well, I didn't have the heart to kill it at that point. So I found a small twig and put it down and it just ran up on it and sat on the end. I brought it outside to a tree and it climbed off. A spider like that could be a pet.

Those savannah cats are beautiful, but they're kind of scary too. I can see why they're illegal.

I could deal with spiders. I held his tarantulas. They're fuzzy and very docile.

I couldn't love a cockroach though. And if somehow it got loose in my house I wouldn't be able to sleep.

There's a fox village in Japan where you can interact with hundreds of foxes:

For such a small country, Japan has an amazing amount of activities, cultural events, diversity, technology. I would really like to go there one day.
