okay, so you all know that I have an extreme love of HP.
I feel like I need to explain why. I promise, I'm not just some crazy person. XD
I started reading the books when I was 8. As in, only the first two books had been released at the time. I got into them because my 3rd grade teacher read half of book one to the class. (she's also the reason I am a teacher today.) I literally grew up with HP because I had to wait between book releases. I was growing older and so was he throughout the books. Some of the social dynamics of the books matched my own because we basically went through puberty together.
Anyway, I had a ton of chaos in my life (divorces, moving 7 times, etc.) and those books were a constant for me and really helped shape who I am today. I wouldn't love reading as much as I do now if it weren't for those books, I probably wouldn't have been inspired to become a teacher if it weren't for that teacher inspiring me through books, and I wouldn't have been able to mend familial bonds without them either because they are something that brings my family together and we can enjoy them and bond over them.
So... all that being said, HP series is really near and dear to my heart.
