Like what you like to do. What little things make you happy? Time with friends? Sleeping in? Playing games? Marathon movies? Pigging out on food? Go to the show?

For instance, for my birthday I invite friends out to eat breakfast or lunch and then we also have a family dinner (we have a tradition we get to eat out at the birthday persons favorite place). I buy my favorite cake - sometimes I've had people bake me a cake - and sometimes I will go out and do an activity with friends. I like to plan something through out my birthday week. If I'm at work I bring in cookies and stuff and the last few years my coworkers have decorated and brought me sweets as well and we put them out for our customers. Then we all eat and are happy nibbling throughout the day. For our family the birthday person usually gets to pick what they want to do.
If you are a Starbucks reward member you get a free coffee drink of your choice for your birthday. Panera bread gives you a free item. Most restaurants give you free dessert (I love that one) for your birthday. Take advantage of the different ways you can celebrate!!
