Kit: I learned that YOU are the one that has to make things happen. You can't wait for others to do things for you (especially if you don't tell them what you'd like).
- [+] SPOILER
- I went through times where my Mum would forget my birthday, so I'd have to remind her if I wanted to have a party - and when I moved out it would be a week or so, or month, later- or she'd mix me up with my brother who's birthday is 9 days before mine. So one year I bought her a birthday calendar book for Christmas and put everyone's birthdays and anniversaries in it. (I think she has gotten a replacement since then). Now she is pretty good at "remembering" everyone's, she doesn't feel badly for forgetting and they are happy she remembered.
So, this is YOUR special day to be thankful for you. Bake yourself a cake (ice cream cakes are easy to make) or make yourself some cookies...
I see some of the Windlyn "family" are sending you birthday wishes and I sent you my extra special treasure chest to make your day special... so people do care! I hope you feel blessed by those who do acknowledge you and your special day and glow in the warmth of that friendship.
As far as permits...they can be renewed so not to worry.
As far as family having dinner with you - next year don't plan on being asleep during the time they are home from work...tell them you'd like to have dinner with them? If you aren't asleep now maybe ask them to play a game or watch a show with you? Or plan something for tomorrow and make it part of your birthday week celebration? Some people I know don't care about birthdays or celebrate them, not me, I LOVE birthdays. I am sad when I want to do things for people for their birthdays and they don't want me to make it special for them. sigh, I guess I can go overboard with the decorating and the sweets...
