So I'm pretty much over my cold. Sadly, my mom caught it sooooo, it's making its rounds.

While I only missed 1 day of work and was off for 2 days, it felt like it was a 4 day weekend and now my week days are messed up.

I almost thought it was Thursday this morning and was like ". . . . . . wait, it's Thursday, I don't work Thursdays.... Oops, it's Wednesday, darn."

The pains of working are somewhat relieved by the bimonthly paychecks.

So, i found a mouse in my room.
I had food trash in my trash can so it had gotten into my trash that confirmed I wasn't seeing things.

So my mom helped set a couple of traps. We put provolone cheese instead of cheddar sonce we didnt have any and i dont think it was sticky enough because i slept in a different room and when i went to check on the traps, one trap didnt go off, but the cheese was gone.

Gotta have to go with peanut butter next time.

I don't like to have to rid mice with mouse traps, but that's all I can do to get rid of them.

That mouse better be caught when i get home tho. I got very little sleep last night, even being in a different room. I kept wanting to go back and check on the traps, but i dont want to see a dead smushed mouse, and I was afraid of seeing it happen. I was just scared to see it.

So, my dad wanted to reset the trap and put it back in my room.

The whole reason I didn't sleep in my room is because i get so anxious about the trap going off, whether I know there is a mouse or not, that I can't sleep.

I also didn't sleep well last night while in another room because spiders.

I'm unsetting the other trap next to my trashcan. I'll deal with one I can hide, though I'll still be anxious. But one I can see when i merely open my eyes is out of the question. And the one my dad reset, im taking out after a while if it catches nothing. As far as I'm concerned, i only had one mouse and it's now gone.

It never went after the peanut butter.

Glad you got it.

That's interesting. Peanut butter has worked in minutes for us. Maybe it was closer to the other trap and went for that one first?

Probably. But it had went to the one I had set next to my trashcan even though it ran toward the closet of the one ot never touched until last night.

But it doesn't matter now. It gone.

Glad you caught the critter!

-remember to only put a dab so that they can't get the cheese or peanut butter off and they have to stay on the trap "longer" so that it snaps.

Ya, I'm there with you on the traps. One time a mouse caught only its leg on the trap and was dragging it around - i was quite freaked out by it to say the least~ I could hear it dragging it around, and it sure could run on only three legs!!

I don't like to end up killing a mouse, but I can't always have it that way. I'd like to try one where you trap it, it doesn't hurt it or kill it. It makes it where it can't escape and you release it somewhere. But that usually can end up with it back in your house if you're not careful.
