mdom: I have heard of fried butter but haven't actually seen it in real life and don't think anyone I know has tried it? But I know people who have tried fried ice cream - although I have not personally tried it.

Hello Lemon! Yeah I had fun today. I don't play games as much as I used to because I'd rather just talk with friends. However, today I thought I'd take a break from the internet and spend some time with my little brother.

I went for my physical therapy appointment and love laying on the hot heating pads they use, it makes me so relaxed.

I bet your little brother looks up to you, spend time with him now since you will be going away and I bet he will miss you. I like to visit while playing games.

Hmm, I'm not sure. But I'd like to think that he does even though he's an introvert.
The plan is to get him to go to school at the same time I go that way I can try to help him out and stuff.
Not sure if it will go as planned but we'll see.

He doesn't know what he wants to do yet. I told him it would make scheduling classes a lot easier if he had a major in mind. I don't like talking about school with him because I know it stresses him out and I don't like doing that.

Have him look at a list of high paying jobs what salary they make and what is required to do to get them.

Look at other jobs that pay minimum wage and compare the salaries and how many hours it would take to work of the min wage job compared to one hour of the higher paying job. (usually it would be about 4 hours to one hour of work).

Choosing a career is difficult especially if you don't have work experience. What hobbies is he good at?

Well....he's like really good with computers.
He's always listening to news podcasts. -shrugs-
I was thinking 'Digital Design and Production' since it's computer based and I think they focus on video game animations and stuff which I think he would like since he's a gamer.
Still, I don't want to like force him into anything.

Most of the high school students here go for a class where you look at cost of living and different jobs and their pay schedule...nothing popped out to him or is he afraid to say? Has he gotten any part time week end or summer jobs yet?

I showed him the college catalog. Basically it has all the majors offered in the campus and each major lists the courses one must take. The book also has the courses listed individually.
I don't know, he hasn't said anything but this was a while ago. I'm kind of scared to mention it again.
I did tell him we were going to try and see a counselor in June. Maybe they can help?
