Mur, presidents and gov't officials I can understand. But JC is an awesome person!

Despite his fame and fortune, he seems very humble and down to earth (as are most people who start with nothing like he did). If he has any major fault, it's that he didn't raise his son well (probably away working most of his formative life) and perhaps that he's surrounded by "yes men" so his judgement is clouded at times. Still, I'm a big fan. I feel so many celebrities today (I'd even say probably most) are not even good human beings, but JC is one the good ones IMHO.

it seems fairly unreasonable to not like someone because of that ^^ especially since he does talk about reasonable stuff most of the time--- though he runs his mouth off on some occasions.

I can understand that. I probably don't hear about him talking about stuff because I only speak English and that's JC's second language. Regardless, like many entertainers, many should restrict their opinions to remain as entertainers. Perhaps sad, but if you take a stand on anything you risk alienating someone.

Par for the course is an idiom that means what is normal or expected in any given circumstances.

But basically something along the lines of, not surprising, or was expected.

Heeeh, he talks to much lool, a reason to hate him it seems.

I haven't heard Jackie Chan speak to much outside of his movies and his movies are pretty funny for the most part. Like "who am I" when he has his mouth full of the plant that numbs his mouth and he actually can't talk!
