Alright, so to keep in-line with the Thread's title... Did anyone see Jupiter at its greatest opposition on April 7th? On the night of April 7th, Jupiter, the Earth, and the Sun formed a straight line, allowing Jupiter to make its closest approach to Earth in 2017 AND out-shined all the stars that night!
With my telescope and 2 different lenses, I was able to get a glimpse of Jupiter and 4 of its moons. There was a point where I thought I was hallucinating a bit because I thought I saw Jupiter's stripes, but nahh! My eyes did not deceive me!!
{remind me to post some pictures I took later of Jupiter & its moons -- the pictures and my phone camera did not do the actual sight any justice whatsoever though
