The first time I saw the term "Winners" in an event notice post I thought they were talking about the winners of the event not addressing everyone in Windlyn, hence "Winners"

Hello JinMay! Drop by any time!

Have you got anything special planned for Mother's day for your Mom? Maybe a big hug and tell her that you love her? Or do you make her a card or anything special?

Welll... Mother's Day for Mexican mothers is the 10th. So we already gave my mom some gifts.

I know I shouldn't feel lame, but I do. I got my mom a lousy gift compared to what my sister who moved out brought her, and my dad even got her something better too. Ugh.

What are your plans Lemon?

I feel like Mom's don't care about the gift, they just want to be reminded that you care about them and have everyone get along for the day - and maybe have someone else figure out the cooking or clean up for the day. You could have always gone in on a gift together... I suppose it depends on whether there is something your Mom has been wanting or not...maybe next year.

Why do Mexicans celebrate on the 10th? I know in the US Mother's day hasn't been around for all that long - and I am not sure whether other countries have it or not.

Yes, I suppose you're right about that. Maybe next year I'll get her something better. Or...I could just get her something later and say it's a late gift. -shrugs shoulders-

Ummm, that's a good question and it's a little disappointing that I don't know the answer. lol
It's just a culture thing I think. The Mexican calendar is different than the American one. I know independence day here is July 4th. In Mexico I believe it's the 16th of November or September. Can't quite remember.
