I'm not saying it has to be, I'm just saying many Americans don't bother seeing a doctor because they don't want to pay, especially if it turns out to be nothing serious

most dont see a doctor because they are stubborn and will go when its too late. with a history of medical knowledge most can do without doctor visits if its not serious

The balance I've found is knowing which common illnesses require prescription meds, whether what you have is getting better or not, and if it's taking longer to get over than it should or never goes away.
