I don't have much luck growing stuff in pots - unless it likes to be ignored.

I'll take a picture of my cactus plants and post them, they have such beautiful flowers! I also do good with orchids because they only like to be watered once a week and left to overgrow their pots.

Monkeygirl: You would be surprised at how many plants like to be left alone to do their own thing - I am sure you would do okay with those! When I had fake plants they just collected too much dust

I have an aunt who loves them, but she lives high up in an apartment, so it's cooler.
My mom says the problem is they can't get too much sun.

I have my orchids in a south facing window sill and once they bloom I move them inside to a counter until the blooms are done and then it is back to the window sill - so I guess I never paid attention to how much sun the flowers themselves got/get.

It would be nice to have some flowers to water in the backyard. Nice excuse to get my butt outside each day or whenever. But between my allergies and Cooper running all over back there I'm not sure how well it would work out.

ugh, those really are tough calls...especially dental bills being so high! I feel for you for having to deal with the stress of making the call which to do. Sometimes the mouth affects the bodies health too though so keep that in mind, but it sounds like you are monitoring stuff. I am not sure how medicaid works or if health insurance is different between States. I get health insurance partially covered where I work and have a copayment when I go to the drs but it still ends up costing quite a bit with multiple visits. But my physical therapy has helped so much and I am not feeling like I have a 10 lb weight on my back hanging from my neck anymore so I am happy I am doing that.

I currently don't have medicaid. Medicare doesn't cover dental. I have separate dental insurance. It's frustrating weighing the costs versus benefits.
I'm glad physical therapy is helping you. Are you still going?

I cut down to every couple weeks and may just stop for a bit and see how I am doing without the neck stretching device and work on the exercises at home with hand weights. The stretching my arms above my head - thumbs up to the ceiling and then tipping my head back to look up - actually are very helpful for my back and shoulders, just can't look up for too long or I feel light headed. I also do the bend the head to the side ones as well and the chin to the shoulders. Those I can even do while driving.

you should keep the stretches up just to keep from having problems later
