It's an amazing experience. Often, when I can control the dream, something happens that I don't like, and I just say no, and reverse time in the dream, and change what happens. There's also been times when suddenly, the stuff in the dream stops, and it shows myself, in my living room, sitting with some people I don't recognize, watching and commenting on the dream. I can often continue a dream after I've woken up, so long as I don't move too much. And every time I have a recurring dream, it goes through the whole dream again, but then continues the dream, with new events I have never seen before. Also, I've had dreams in the same setting as other dreams before, but these settings aren't actual places that exist in real life, they only exist in my mind. I've also had dreams where similar things happen that happened in previous dreams, yet the way they happen, and where they happen is completely different. For example; I often have dreams in which I am flying whilst standing upright, and the events are different, the setting is different, but my flying is the same. I've also had multi-layered dreams before.
Anyway, whenever I tell others about it, they tell me they never experience anything like that. And when they tell me a dream, saying it was really weird, I'm disappointed. I think to myself; they call THAT weird? That's normal compared to my dreams! And it is, the weirdest dreams of other people, aren't even close to the more normal dreams I have.
But regardless, I don't actually think I have special powers, or that my dreams mean anything, though it would be cool if that were true. I merely wanted to add to the conversation, I suppose. The dreams being special is part of an idea I have for a story, an idea I've had multiple times, with variations each time. What do you think?
