It's amazing how we take things for granted until we have to do with out for awhile...like when the water gets shut off it is so automatic to turn on the faucet that when nothing comes out you just stare blankly at it.

Yes, water pressure makes such a lovely difference when you take a shower!YEAH! Hope your Dad is able to get everything fixed without too much more trouble (good thing he is such a handy man).

Sometimes if you are buying "bundles" on appliances the stores will give a bigger discount. If your parents credit is good they may qualify for interest free store credit - all they need to do is divide the total cost by the amount of time they get to pay it and pay that on time each month. Often the newer appliances will "pay for themselves" by the amount of electricity you can save.

We don't have one. Not unless we want to drive a minimum of an hour one way, and with gas prices being what they are, it's cheaper to buy a more expensive one in town than to drive that far to save a bit

that's too bad....well, I hope your parents are able to find a deal somewhere. Generally appliances go on sale around Mother's day (so Mom's work is made easier apparently) and technical stuff around graduation and Fathers day

Dad usually goes to the one place with his fire company shirt on and that nets him a nice discount
Do well with the members even in their own private residences and you're more likely to get business from the place
