I'd rather a movie be open-ended than to botch it with a poor ending. Sometimes it really works in certain movie if the ending or even the true intentions of the characters are up to interpretation. I use to not like movies ending that way but after hearing some interviews with the people in charge of the movie, sometimes there is no answer and it was more of a movie to make you think. I have a greater appreciation for movies that make me question things not just within the movie but life in general.
