So, my new job, I'm in overtime, and having to work til 2:30am.... But, the greatest thing about it, I go home tired, not exhausted. Plus, that means I'm working 10 hours which I was used to when I was at McD's, so it's not like torture to me or anything, lol.

I work on the second floor, because of that, I have to walk up stair every time I return to work. I go up them when:
-I first clock in
-I return from Short Break 1
-I return from lunch
-I return from Short Break 2
-I return from Short Break 3 (On overtime days)
-I return from any other reason like the bathroom or getting a new battery for a scanner I use.

Hopefully, this definitely helps me lose weight.

But of course, when something good comes to me, something bad has to happen. Been working there for 4 days and day 4, I had to leave early because I was in sommuch pain, it was unbearable. I tried my hardest to make it through the whole shift, but it wasn't possible. I had a bad feeling in my gut going to work.
So, the night before, I got sick, idk why, but my lower back started to hurt, and comparing to the last 2 times this has happened, I knew I would eventually get real sick, and I did.
Well, after that episode, my stomach muscles were hurting. So the next day, on my way to work, I knew that my aching stomach was going to be a problem but I could work through it. But then i got really bad shoulder pain. At first I was able to work through all the pain, but it kept getting worse.

Short break 2 came around and a very sharp pain came soaring through my shoulder and from then on, the pain was unbearable. I was only able to make it through another hour, but I had to leave 3 hours early because, despite taking pain killers, it wasn't getting better.

The drive home was scary as hell because I was afraid a sharp pain would come and I'd swerve and, well, get in a wreck. Luckily I got home safe, but going to sleep was another battle.
Eventually, after taking more painkillers, I fell asleep.

Now my stomach pain is gone, but my shoulder still hurts. Haven't had a surge of sharp pain, but its still sore. I took more pain killers and put ice on it.

Now, it doesn't hurt hurt right now, but its also been numbed from ice. I hope the worst of it is gone because I don't want to miss a whole day of work. I already feel bad for having to leave early.

Sorry to hear about it all. Sound like you're doing all of the right things for your shoulder. Alternating heat and ice can help too. You might try an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen or naproxen rather than painkiller for muscle pain.

Feel better soon!

oh no Monkey!

Pain killers can also make you nauseous, especially if taken on an empty stomach. Do you have problems with your kidneys at all? That could be back pain. Repetition of the arm can cause shoulder pain. Do arm stretches, lift your arms ...put your arms at your side, lift them forward and up like you are stretching towards the ceiling, hold for a few seconds and then lower. Repeat about 5 times throughout the day. It helps stretch the arm as well as the back. It is a quick fixer. You may have to get physical therapy if your shoulder gets worse but that helps me and I have shoulder issues from repetition and lifting.

Take a couple ibuprophen or napraxen before bed, it helps with inflammation. Of course see a Dr if things get worse.
