well, if you decide to dye it again - that is a rich color and very becoming

The ends of my hair now are close to, if not the same shade
It's not a box dye, it's a professional grade job
So many people were surprised to find that the red was dyed when i did dye it red

that's the only thing about dying one's hair, you either have to keep it up or have it look like tiers as it grows out. Fortunately that has become somewhat the norm. Probably highlighting your hair with that color would look good too.

Yeah, it's mostly grown out now, I can't afford to get it colored again, and some people insist that it's still entirely red

The photo reminded me of a porcelain doll and I thought that was the look you were going for - even if not it was a perfect pose. I'd frame that photo!When you are old and gray you will appreciate the artisticy of the photo and how pretty you "were".

A note on chemo and losing hair: I read an article where in Europe they use a "cold cap" during chemo and most people lose little to no hair. Some how it blocks the chemo from getting into the follicles. However, here in the U.S insurance won't pay for it.REALLY?!? so, exasperating.

I'd be interested to know if any of our out of US members know about it in their countries.

ya, I have had a few people mention their hair went curly after chemo - and yes, the cap keeps your hair as is so I imagine it prevents that. I suppose the wig manufacturers would be unhappy if people didn't lose their hair from chemo.

Eh, there's people that have a medical thing where they can't grow hair
And cosplays
Plus I imagine people are out there that like wigs cuz quick and easy color style length etc change

even still, the wig companies can make money from cosmetic but I think they make lots more from chemo patients. Personally I'd love if we had a wig store here that I could go try on different styles - if I could find one I liked then I would definitely go for one.

you were fortunate, not all chemo or brain surgery patients get theirs for free. I've known people that have had to pay out of pocket.

The hospital I went to offers a free wig to every patient
And each additional wig $50/wig
Dad figures that mine's about $350 normally
