Why not unsubscribe them and instead check notifications or active topics function?
Wasnt there a thread where they mentioned some problem with too many people subscribing to too many threads or something? Meh i don't remember.

Subscribing really helps me to remember where I have been. Even if I were to look at the thread under notifications, if I've only been there a handful of times, I will forget...

Yes... Quite frankly I've never been good at remembering things outside of school... School was pounded into my brain, but everything outside of school was always... Like a whim on the breeze or something... I like to say I have the memory of a gold fish...
