Yeah, I know what you mean. But if I may quote Doki Doki Literature Club for a moment; "sometimes when you have a raincloud in your head, a sad poem can help to give that raincloud a hug, and make a nice happy rainbow"!
Simply put, a sad poem can help when you are sad yourself. And I completely agree with that. When I'm angry, or upset, or sad, I don't want to read something happy, because it feels like there shouldn't be happy things when I am feeling down. If I read something sad, it helps me feel a little better. Of course, if you can do something fun instead, or watch something funny, that also helps get you in a better mood. But anyway, that's why you write a sad poem, because it helps get your feelings out, and helps to put your mind at ease. ^^
