Shoo, I'm tired. I just rearranged my room. My bed was heavy which made it hard to move and my back hurts, but it's what I've been wanting to do for quite a while now. I just gotta get everything put away now, which I might finish later. I did quite a bit.

I feel you. Luckily for me, my mother made me clean my room from an early age

And then for Spring cleaning she'd oversee the cleaning and force me to throw out things

I used to cry when she threw out stuff, but now because of that I am more willing to clean up and/or get rid of stuff

Anyways, I feel you

I've been messy since I was a child. When I was a child, it was more defiance, now its more my mental health.

My stubborn arse would fight against cleaning my room. I'd sit in my room all day and not be allowed out til it's clean and I'll sit there and not care.

Now I want to clean, but I can't get myself to. I just don't know how to get rid of stuff.

I've managed to get myself to get rid of some small stuff, but I need to do some more cleaning. I gotta get rid of clothes I no longer wear to make room in my dresser to open up my closet. I have a little organizer thing full of junk I need to clean out. I finally cleaned out a drawer in my dresser full of food that's just been sitting in there forgotten. I once used it as the place to store my groceries, but I just kinda stopped and I need to use my dresser for clothes again. My room still doesn't look like much has happened other than things being moved around, but I've had like 4 trashbags full of trash leave the room (this includes some of the junk I've needed to get rid of.)

Certainly.

I have the irrational thoughts of "I might actually use this one day" when I know that's bs.

Ikr

I used to collect bits and things, thinking I'd use them as toys, or in crafts, and never doing so

I got too many pens because I couldn't stop myself from buying pens and journals.

I'm doing better. Moreso with the pens. I sometimes find myself buying more journals than I use.

I went to get started on bookbinding, almost finished building my bookpress, and abandoned it. I even bought the supplies for it....

I need to actually use it since I've actually built a part for it.

I try to have a moderate amount of pens in case they get lost or used up. Don't use them as often now, but I still keep two in my pocket, and a few in my storage

I have tubs of things I hope to get to one day ... and sadly some things deteriorate.

Some craft projects just don't last.

Monkeygirl ... did you watch the David Tennet show "Around the World in 80 days?" Just curious what you thought of it.
