I hate how my dad is telling me what to do with my own car. Like, I understood it with his car when I was driving it. But this car is mine. His name isn't even on it like my last car. He can just back off.

What's he telling you to do? Safety related stuff or car care?

"Take out the little bit of trash in your car."

It's one thing if he tells me something related to the state of my car's engine, but I have like a couple small pieces of trash maybe. They're just things I took out of his car that are mine and threw it in my car. I would've got them organized, but it was starting to rain and I haven't gotten to them yet. But its like practically nothing.

They're also not trash. I threw out any trash I had.

Ah ok. Parents are hard to understand sometimes. Has he ever owned a new car?

Icy

Oof

Yeah, it's not even his, and it's not even trash

Ok, here's what you do; say "I'll take out the trash!" Then roll the trash bin right in front of him and say "get in"

Jk

Not sure what kind of car you have but I hook a plastic grocery bag <gasp, yes you can still get them> on one of the arms of my car seats and stick the trash in there.

I also have a plastic shoe box I put loose stuff and coupons in.

Does your Dad keep his car really clean? Maybe he is just trying to encourage you to do the same? Try not to be annoyed by it. If he says something about it again then just let him know it is your car and you will get to it.

He does want me to get into better habits, but I didn't even have trash in there at the time. He didn't give me a chance to show him I can keep it clean. But he can't do anything about it. His name is nowhere on the car.

I've learned that the notion "they can't do anything about this thing since I own it" doesn't always work

He can tell me not to eat in my car...

I ate in my car last night.

Ik not everything will work, but the small things like that? I can get away with.

I used to eat in my old cars. I learned my lesson--I don't eat in my car any more. I use a huge zip lock bag to keep hot food in for drive thru's and put take out in the trunk (cargo net and zip lock bag).

Pets and uncontainered food will destroy a car interior. Enjoy the new car experience (look, feel, smell) while you can--it goes by too quickly if you're not on top of it.

I remember when we left our old dog in the van once... came back and he'd ripped through the fabric at the front

Had to sport a skeleton pirate again since I decided to watch Pirates of the Carribean, with the first movie containing skeleton pirates which I didn't know. It's been years since I've watched it (I've only seen curse of the black pearl) and forgotten everything about it.

It was indeed

Lol I see! So it's not Halloween, but we've got a skelie pirate captain AND a vampire prince! I can get into this! We just need a werewolf, ghost, and witch!

I think I have restless leg syndrome. I realized how often my legs just have the urge to move and stretch at night.

Last night was the worst it's been in a long time. I feel like I got barely any sleep. They still hurt. Kicking and stretching my legs all night isn't right.
