The Lore subforums are empty.

Fiel- look at the events forum and click on past events and they tell you some of the "story"... especially the ones by Camilia one of the "citizens" of Windlyn

Wanted to make an adorable wintery avie. I really need more than just the Halloween background though, lol.

backgrounds take a lot of drawing so I think we will be lucky if we get one... but I really like the backgrounds. Valentine ones were like 500 feathers I think so start saving up!

Yeah, they have so much detail.
I would even love simple backgrounds, in single colors. They could be like a "profile" while staying in the theme of the avatars. ^_^

Hey, what's going on here? I'm swamped with work. My semester is coming to an end so of course this means it's time to cram all those papers and projects last-minute.

I am just chatting here when I can, earning lots of feathers for the lovely items.
Still need a bit more for all those winter items out so far, then have to save more for when the winter event gets here.
I hope you will be able to be on a lot then! ^_^

I hope I'll be doing something more productive with my time off, but I'm probably just going to bum around here part of the time haha.

I've got a debate coming up as part of my final exam so I've got to plan my argument. I'm actually really excited about that - I love public speaking and debates which is strange when you consider the fact that as a child I was too shy to ask a CVS worker where something was.

Yeah, I need to do more productive things with my time as well... XD

Yeah, I was super shy like that myself. I don't think public speaking would be something for me, but if you love it a lot that is great! ^_^ I hope it goes well!

I'm so glad you made yourself at home and stayed to chat awhile! I'm sorry I wasn't here...December is an extremely busy time for me...long tiring days until Christmas.
I sometimes find public speaking can be easier because you already know, and often have practiced, what you are going to say...although not always.

Public speaking skill has always been rare. And I think it's become even rarer today (blame tech devices replacing actual social contact)--which means it is valuable. If you're very good at it, you've got a great skill that will pay off many times over (and it's marketable!). :)

Part 1 of my final took place yesterday, and I only made one mistake! Now I'm preparing for my one-on-one debate.

galled - it's sadly true that people are way too preoccupied with their mobile devices. I told myself I wouldn't be a part of that but I'm guilty of it on some level too. And English majors are becoming more in demand now that we've replaced written language with texting and grammar with abbreviations and slang terms. I've always thought English was a rather impractical major, unless you're planning to teach. Jobs that use English such as journalism, writing, etc. are very competitive and not well-paying unless you're in the top.
