Considering the fact that there are a lot of irish immagrants from the immigration period. That is why people go crazy haha. It's my favorite color. I don't go crazy over it, just a fun holiday. And religiously if people celebrate it that way.

Just, don't go to Ireland and pronounce St. Paddy as St. Patty or spell it with the t's instead of the d's. You wouldn't want to offend somebody.

People pronounce it here as Paddy but spells it Patty, lol.

If I go to Ireland I will be sure to ask which way to spell it but funny thing is that I have seen it in writing as spelled both ways but you definitively got me wondering and I am happy to see people are looking the facts up.

does anyone celebrate eating the corned beef and cabbage, cause I believe I heard that is an American Irish tradition because immigrants could not afford much to eat and those were the cheaper foods. We don't but our local grocery store had samples of it and that was fun. I do like Irish potatoes though

I assure you, Paddy is correct. There are SO many places on the internet that says that, and there's a youtuber who's Irish who even clarifies that.

Idk about the corned beef, though, that makes my mouth water because I'm tired of ramen and canned soup.

Yeah, corned beef and cabbage is 100% American Irish. I think that's like the St. Patrick's Day parades, too (?) Pretty sure it's just mostly a religious holiday in Ireland.
I've never had it, I've been told that it's something you either love or hate.
Potato pancakes though....yum...

Sheep
According to BBC, Ireland does parades. They do very much celebrate St. Paddy's Day.

PS: That news article was about the celebrations there TODAY. So, yeah.

WUT. I've been lied to, then.

OKAY after some Googling, I've discovered that Americans definitely invented the concept of a St. Patrick's Day parade, but Ireland now has parades. Apparently up until the 1970s, Irish laws mandated that pubs be closed on March 17, too.

These facts came up from numerous sources, so imma assume they're mostly correct.

//dies from stress

Darnit, Spanish teacher, I'm lost in your class. Don't only speak Spanish. I have a limited vocabulary and so does everyone else! (Got a low score on my oral exam due to a limited vocabulary) I'm not hispanic or spanish or else I wouldn't be taking Spanish. Maybe I should've taken German, lol. English is more of a Germanic language, sooooo.

And freakin Wattpad decides to be a butthole and change things for the worse and I can't understand them.

Sorry, just need to vent.

ಠ_ಠ websites updating their look to "keep up with the internet" is just following a trend.

Darn it, Wattpad, you suck, stop changing things that aren't broken!
