Happy 4th!
I was at a BBQ listening to the conversation at my table and one of the older men was commenting on how independence day was celebrating how the US got rid of the British and basically reminding the Brits every year of that (I'm not saying the colorful words he actually used) rather then celebrating the formation of a new country. Then someone else asked about how Canada and Australia celebrate independence when they are still attached to England. But what do they actually celebrate? And why does England still have so many countries under them?
