I'll just leave this out here. What happens is the human body is remarkably adaptable. Calories restriction works for a little while, but then you body adapts to that level as the new normal metabolism and you gain weight again. This requires more deficit to lose more weight and/or excercise more. Eventually your metabolism goes into starvation mode (being ultra efficient with nurients). There are many examples of morbidly obese people who eat very little and still can't lose weight. The math and feeling hungry all of the time, and the above made calorie restriction too difficult, unsustainable, and ultimately ineffective for me. I'm not saying you don't have to worry about quantity, but which foods you eat (more what you avoid) will be more important than calories--which works out because if you eat the right stuff the quantity you'll need to feel satisfied will take care of itself.
