Agh! I left a bag of groceries at the store, the store is a bit of a drive from my house (it's the only store open when I went and close to my work) and when I tried to retrieve my receipt, it was practically destroyed because it was in the trashcan and, well. It got wet.

Gonna buy replacements, and learn to check to make surebingrabbed EVERYTHING!

I've left stuff in carts out in the parking lot (while loading my car).
I've also left stuff at checkouts and self checkouts. I've had good luck calling and they either have my stuff waiting for me or the manager just lets me take what I was missing.

Maybe I could've called and asked about it, but I felt I needed my receipt which I lost. And the store is a good 45mins-1hr away since it was a store open at 11pm and near my workplace. I didn't really feel like going all that way. I just took the loss and bought my missing groceries again. Lesson learned.

That is far, but I've called and they must write it down. They said tell the manager next time I'm in, so I didn't have to go back the same day. I was surprised too, and it might be different in different areas, but it's worked every time I've called.

Yeah, I've heard they write it down, but I feel like you'd need the receipt to prove you did buy the items in question. But then again, if you didn't buy them, you'd probably wouldn't know of it.

I just used this mistake as a learning opportunity. Never leave the register without double checking to make sure you got everything.

I've just called the store & let them know what I'd forgotten. Most of the time they had it sitting in the office already .

If you bought things with their grocery rewards program that has a receipt of what you have bought. worth a try to check. Let them know the date & approximate time you were in & check in with the manager or get the name of who you spoke with.

I just drove 8 1/2 to North Carolina for Galaxycon on Thursday.... I had fun, bought artwork, commissioned one, bought an attack on titan mystery bag and a few other things and made an 8 1/2 hour drive back home Sunday and...... I dont think I want to do this anymore. I had fun, I dont regret it, I just hate driving. I wasn't going to originally but things happened. Just glad to be back home.
