I hope you find one locally! That is a long time for you to sit as well which I would think would aggravate your symptoms.

I think they are starting to control the pain meds more because they are finding some lead to addiction very easily and your body compensates so that you start to need stronger doses to just maintain the same pain management. Opiod usage is quite frightening.

I've had to schedule so many dr and specialist appointments that I haven't been able to see about a pain management specialist in my area.

I understand why they are doing it but the crack down has made it more difficult for those that really need medicine to curb pain. Some patients are being told that they can't be as the same dosage because their doctor isn't allowed to prescribe them enough for the duration. The one I'm on hasn't shown to lead to addictive behavior and abuse so that medicine in particular seems kind of ridiculous to me. Like they're jumping the gun on the assumption that people will start to abuse it too.

ah~ and so many appointments. I'm going to be busy through mid-January. And I still need to find and make a dentist appointment.

Our area has seen an increase of non medical drug use that begins with pain meds for medical purposes.

I hope all those appointments lead to you finding help in dealing with your medical situation. I hate sitting in Drs offices waiting.

Don't forget to find sometime to enjoy the holidays in that time!

I have almost two weeks until I have to go back to the doctor's. I don't mind the wait as long as it's not more than 30 minutes.
My parents are coming over Saturday to celebrate Thanksgiving. I need to finish cleaning up.

I don't know if you have them where you are but Jennie O makes a frozen turkey breast that is already seasoned etc that you can cook frozen (about 3 hours) and it includes gravy. Scrub some sweet potato's or yams and regular potato's and then all you have to do is a veggie and/or salad for a quick no nonsense meal.

(But it is the cleaning for the company that takes the most energy :wink: )

My mom got two roaster chickens and they just needed 30 minutes to reheat in the oven. My parents were really sweet they prepared the food and did some cleanup. I slept well but still needed a nap before and after they came over. I feel so bad because I didn't hear them when they arrived, my dog Cooper had to wake me up.
The good news though was the good was all good and the kimono robe that I got my mother fit her( wanted to be sure it fit before the return window closed).

Your Mom sounds thoughtful! <must be where you got it from?>

So nice when things fit! I just took back items I bought as a gift and couldn't get replacement sizes for in the right colors AND I lost the great deal I got them for!

Aw, shame it didn't work out for you or them. Yeah I was really worried it would be a size too small but she said it fit well. I wouldn't of gotten it if there wasn't a free return. Only thing is I don't think they realize it's an early xmas gift. ^^;
